The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Ghost Ship)

Ghost Ship Switches Explained - 24513

On floor B3 of the Ghost Ship, you are given the code 24513. This code relates to the 5 switches that have to be pulled, which in turn removes the spikes to the room with the steel drums.

If you were to number the switches from left to right 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, then you would be correct to pull the switches in the following sequence:

At this point you would be baffled as to why it didn’t work!

The code wasn’t telling you which order to pull the switches in, though. Instead, it was actually telling you which order the switches were in.

From left to right, the 1st switch is number 2, the 2nd switch is number 4, the 3rd switch is number 5, the 4th switch is number 1, and the 5th switch is number 3.

Now if you were to pull them in number order, you would pull them in the following sequence, i.e. 41523:

What is XRAY

XRAY is the first in hopefully a suite of free cross browser tools for helping web designers and developers better visualize what their code is doing in a browser. XRAY is designed to help you get beneath the skin of your web page.

XRAY let’s you see the box model for any element on a page in action - where is the top and left of an element, how big is each margin, how big is the padding, how wide and high is the content box?

What platforms and browsers is XRAY available on?

XRAY currently has been tested on Safari 2 and 3 on Mac OS X, Webkit nightly builds, and Mozilla based browsers (Firefox, Camino and so on) on Mac OS X and Windows. At present it won’t work on Internet Explorer (XRAY uses the canvas element, but plans are afoot to adapt it for Internet Explorer), and has not been adapted for Opera. We hope to have versions for Opera shortly, and Internet Explorer on Windows in the not too distant future. XRAY works in Safari 3 on Windows, but clicking a bookmark does not fire any Javascript it contains. J. Scott Campbell Interview WWC 2007: Spider-Man, Hulk and Danger Girl

Transcript from an interview with J. Scott Campbell at the Wizard World Chicago Comic-Con 2007 [source]. Scott chats about his upcoming Spider-Man project with Jeph Loeb, his desire to draw the Hulk and the projects he’d like to return to down the road.

WW: What have you got coming up for Marvel in the future, because now you’ve been sitting for a few years and we’re all chomping at the bit to see what you’re going to do?

Scott: Well I’ve been pecking away at the new Spider-Man project with Jeph Loeb. I’m really excited about it. It’s quite a large scale project so I think we’re going to have to get a lot more done in advance of the book coming out. But everybody from the Marvel offices have been giving me a lot of great feedback, so I feel really good about the project and I feel like we’re on the right track. I really can’t wait for the fans to see it, because I think they’re going to be really blown out; not by just whatever I’m doing, but what Jeph’s writing. I think the whole project just really feels like Spider-Man, and I think that’s what a lot of fans really want.

WW: Is this sort of a timeless project or is it set in current continuity, can you even say?

Scott: I’d say yes to both. I think there is a plan to have it tied in with the bigger picture, but I think it also has some flexibility to sort of be a little bit of its own thing as well; I mean stand on its own two feet. So I’d say the correct answer is yes to both of those, let’s hope that is how it remains. We’ll see how, you know how these things change.

WW: You getting any hints as far as villains involved or anything like that, or are you getting to draw everybody? You focusing on one guy?

Scott: Let just say being a hard core fan of the classic Spider-Man, the Spider-Man I watched on cartoons when I was growing up and stuff like that, let’s just say I’m very happy with the subject matter I’m having to draw. It feels classic and feels new at the same time, and I can’t imaging how a fan of Spider-Man would be disappointed with the route we’re going with this.

WW: Any sort of projected date or are you guys just going to take your time and when you have enough done you’re going to let it go?

Scott: You know what, I’ve tried to guess at that but the problem with this is there’s a lot of other variables and other people involved with making that decision, so I would simply be guessing if I told you, but like I’m hoping very soon. I’m crossing my fingers at the very first part of next year you guys will start seeing or hearing something about that.

WW: Have you any sort of loose plans in place at Marvel after this Spider-Man project, or is that really what’s consuming you time right now?

Scott: Right now that is pretty much as far as my schedule projects right now. I’ve bounced around the idea of possibly returning to Danger Girl maybe after Spider-Man, I’ve got sort of an itch to do some more with Danger Girl but that’s just an idea. You know, I’d certainly would hear out any ideas that Marvel happens to throw my way, but at the moment it’s just Spider-Man, some here and there covers for Marvel, and any of my own work like sketchbooks and things like that I do at these shows, and that’s pretty much it for right now.

WW: You did that beautiful cover for Marvel Comics Presents #1. Do you have anything else in the immediate pipeline people can look forward to other than covers?

Scott: I’m doing a couple of X-Men things like pin-ups and covers at the moment, that’s the latest thing on my plate. But yeah, I would love to do a lot more of that kind of stuff, that’s the kind of stuff I grew up on. I’m a huge fan of Arthur Adams and Jim Lee, and they use to do those huge like Marvel pieces where people are charging or running, and that [Marvel Comics Presents #1 cover] was sort of like my attempt at trying to capture what I love as a kid, and I would love to do more of that type of thing.

I love being able to dabble with all these classic characters, because having been in the industry for, oh god, ten plus years now, its funny that only now I’m starting to get the chance to like kind of touch these characters and kind of like do my own take on them, which is kind of good because I’m not sure if I was really ready for it when I was much younger, but now I feel like I’m coming to the table with sort of like an idea how to handle these characters. So I think that’s good.

WW: It’s definitely interesting. We’re kind of used to seeing your Spider-Man and your Captain America, but you see the J. Scott Campbell Hellcat like jumping out at you, that’s always fun.

Scott: Yeah, it’s funny; out of all of them I think the one I was most anxious to do was the Hulk. I’m not saying that’s quite where my Hulk should be yet, but it was fun taking a stab at it, and all those characters would be fun to do my unique take on it without being disrespectful to the character. That’s always the fine line you try to find as an artist, but you’ll always want to put your unique stamp on it.

WW: I think having tackled Spider-Man pretty extensively now, who’s the one Marvel character before all is said and done you want to leave your mark on besides Spider-Man.

Scott: That’s a really good question. You know I might have already tipped my hand by saying the Hulk probably but I don’t know. I think Spidey and the Hulk are my two favorites. I’m a big X-Men fan, but I’m one of these guys that’s kind of old school, I don’t recognize the X-Men like I used to. I miss those little Claremont, you know, early Jim Lee sort of, that’s my era of X-Men, so until X-Men gets back to that.. that’s what I love about the Hulk and Spidey, they’re classic, they seem to be consistent, you know what I mean. They always come back to their origins and their core looks, so that’s what I like, so those are probably two of my favorites.

WW: Well Jeff, thanks for taking the time to chat with us. Keep a look out for Jeff and Jeff Loeb’s Spider-Man project. It’ll be coming down the pipe any second, who knows maybe next month, but maybe in a year.

Q: Can you give us an update on that?

Scott: Yeah, I’m working on a new Spider-Man project; yet to be announced length, yet to be announced title, but it does involve Spider-Man, myself and Jeph Loeb. And I’m currently well into the story and I, hopefully, will have release dates very soon for everybody. It’s something we definately want to get out to the hands of the fans very soon, and I’m really excited about it, it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Q: Is it going to be part of the regular series or is it going to be a mini series. Do you know?

Scott: I know a little bit about that, but you know how Marvel likes to keep those little tid-bits secret until much closer to release dates.

Q: Any estimate as to when the title might be solicited?

Scott: I think you should hopefully expect to start seeing the book early next year.

Q: Are there any other projects you are working on?

Scott: I’m currently in between my commitments with Spider-Man working on several Marvel covers; I still have a couple of DC covers I owe them, and also the final issue of Wildsiderz I’m trying to wrap up - my previous creator-owned series.

Q: Yeah, you know, I kinda forgotten about that, so you didn’t forget us?

Scott: Erm, no, I currently worked on the last issue. There was some scheduling overlap with my start date with Spider-Man, and Wildsiderz. Yeah, but we’ll get that wrapped up for everybody, though.
